Venice Beach gardening is so inspiring to me. This particular area of California is an epi-center for airy drought tolerant landscape design. I really like the style that is being developed here, thoughtful, drought tolerant, eco-conscious, helping the environment. I have worked on several gardens in Venice Beach and all of them tell a story. When a garden has that story book quality to it, thats when you know magic has happened. Creating a story with plants and landscape design takes a special talent.

I worked with Samuel Bresden for the installation. In the featured images you can see steel steps through the garden that were fabricated and then dipped in an acid bath to give that their amazing rusty texture.
Some the plants I used in the design are:
Alegia Capensis
Agonis Afterdark
Shoestring Acacia
Lucedendrum Safari Sunset
dymondia
korean moss
lorepetulum
plectranthus
