Recently I completed a Santa Monica Water Rebate landscaping installation.

The process was very easy from applying for the rebate to the final walk through inspection at the end

Here is a list of steps to insure your landscaping installation is a success and you can be sure to attain all of the benefits from the Santa Monica Water Rebate process.

Helpful information from the site:
http://www.smgov.net/Departments/OSE/Rebates/Landscape_Rebate.aspx

Step 1. Fill out the on-line application.

Step 2. Staff will verify eligibility and email a confirmation letter and Installer Guidelines.

Step 3. After eligibility approval, remove your lawn and cap/remove the sprinklers.

Step 4. Install climate-appropriate plants and mulch according to the Installer Guidelines.

Optional: Install City specified drip irrigation.

Step 5. Email staff the signed Installer Guidelines (applicant and installer must sign).

Step 6. Schedule a one-time only inspection with staff and your installer (installer must be present to turn on system and fix any issues during the inspection in order to receive rebate). If it doesn’t pass this inspection, your rebate application is denied and no rebate funding will be issued.

Step 7. After final approval your check will be issued within 4-weeks.
